Lee Garrison received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in 1982 and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1991, graduating cum laude. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Bridgewater State College and lectured at Suffolk University Law School, The Massachusetts Bar Association and the State Police Academy.
